My Favorite Light Filtering Curtains
Random PSA, but when you find something you love, you want to share it! I recently changed out the curtains in my master bedroom. We have a small room with two windows, and I had double curtains on each window. It just felt heavy and I wanted a change!
Years ago I had purchased blackout curtains (pic below) from Amazon- which can be so hit or miss- but I have had them in my living room for YEARS and they’ve held up perfectly despite 2 giant dogs, 2 kids and 2 cats. So… naturally it made sense to reorder them for my master bedroom! I have no idea why I didn’t do that originally, but I wanted to share the link with you all incase you are looking into adding blackout curtains to your home or a bedroom. The have a linen look to them, so they’re not everyones cup of tea, but they’re mine for sure!
Are light filtering or blackout curtains really necessary for your child? Necessary- no, BUT if your child is waking early or is struggling to fall asleep then YES. It’s just part of setting your child up for sleep success!
Light inhibits melatonin and can wake a sleeping brain. We have light filtering curtains in all of our bedrooms, and I do believe they help!
With that being said, these curtains are linked below!
